Research subject for a potential FP6 project

- Expression of catalases involved in protection of microorganisms against oxidative stress (organic pollution, etc. ..)
- Investigation of catalase I from the soil bacterium Comamonas terrigena N3H, its molecular characteristics
- Screening of microbial catalases by means of PCR. The relationship of gene diversity and adaptation of microorganisms to environment.
- Evolutionary study of bacterial catalases.
- Use of catalases for practical purposes (bioremediation, medicine, etc. ).
