Research subject for a potential FP6 project

The main goals of the planned scientific project will be focused to several significant tasks:

1. Determination of the negative influence of human activities (tourism, emmissions, forest management) to the productivity of the herb and tree layer of original peat spruce ecosystems in the Tatra National Park.
2. Synthesis of present phytocoenological-ecological knowledge from Tatra´s peat ecosystems from the point of view their feature for observation of above-mentioned anthropogenic and anthropic activities.
3. Quantification of human impact to the peat spruce ecosystems soils and evaluation of human activity influence on their areas in our high-mountain positions.
