Research subject for a potential FP6 project

Scientific project will be focused to determination and quantification of human activity negative influences on significant natural ecosystems on blown sands in Slovakia as even evaluation of ecological carrying capacity and significance of these areas with utilization of landscape ecology, production ecology, animal ecology, zoology, pedology, geobotany and forest typology methods.
The main scientific goals are:
1. Determination of human activity negative influence (tourism, emmissions, agriculture, forestry) to natural structure and functions of blown sands ecosystems.
2. Landscape-ecological analyses and syntheses of studied territories of blown sands (the Borska nizina lowland, Podunajska nizina lowland and Vychodoslovenska nizina lowland) with focusing to vulnerability of studied ecosystems and evaluation of landscape ecological carrying capacity.
3. Quantification of human activity influence to soils and evaluation of its anthropization.
4. Evaluation of selected animal groups and their relation to environment of blown sands in Slovakia.
