Research subject for a potential FP6 project

Bioinformatics represents research field closely related to all life sciences. It provides molecular genomics and proteoimcs data and tools, e.g. DNA and protein databases, software packages for biological data analysis or software/hardware database systems. Integral part of this basic support is education and training in field of bioinformatics, on both, undergraduate and postgraduate level. Important objective is to co-operate with ongoing and future scientific project, to emphasis importance of bioinformatics tools in biological data analysis. To build informatics infrastructure for life sciences is necessary for its additional growth and flexibility, to provide knowledgebase for ready accommodation of new resources and systems. To have bioinformatics infrastructure on national level can emphasis locally specific requirements and capabilities

Recent international cooperation of the research team

Member of EMBnet, Slovak National EMBnet Node
