Research subject for a potential FP6 project

Due to the increasing costs of crude oil and fosil fuel during last years the purpose of accurate energy trade off and sun radiation evaluation of buildings is important. The solar energy is clean and as an absolute renewable source is very perspective to alternate classical energy sources. The visible part of solar radiation is important not only for 90% visual activities of building users but also for their health and quality of life. One of the grant projects researched at ICA SAS Bratislava currently is focused on the determination of the more precisely characteristic conditions of daylighting in the concrete locality. As it is known the interior daylighting changes are directly linked to exterior conditions. Since 1994 the instantaneous irradiances and illuminances are measured at CIE IDMP Station established in ICA SAS Bratislava in one minute intervals. This enormous database is continually extended and provides a reliable background not only for research of energy technologies as well as for guidelines to predetermine designs of sustainable and intelligent buildings.
