Research subject for a potential FP6 project

The Borska nizina lowland is one of the most important areas of Slovakia from the zoological point of view (largest sandy dunes in Slovakia and 2 wettland areas protected as Ramsar localities). Faunistical and ecological research of selected animal groups (vertebrates and inverterbrates) would result in wide ecological expertise, which will be a part of the Pannonian ecosystem studies. The aim of this project will be a detailed research of selected animal species with following evaluation of their ecological claims. The results of this project will be published in the monograph.
